Roger Federer was tested for doping 29 times in 2019
Former world No. 1 Roger Federer was tested 29 times for doping during the 2019 season, per Blick.
The Swiss was tested nine times at tournaments and 20 times private.
The record 20-time Grand Slam champion stayed clean and once again finished a season without testing positive for doping.
Federer, now ranked at No. 3 in the world, enjoyed another successful season in 2019.
The Swiss made six finals and captured titles on four occasions.
The 38-year-old won it all at the Miami Masters, Dubai, Halle and Basel while he ended runner-up at the Indian Wells Masters and Wimbledon.
Federer fell just short of winning his 21st Grand Slam title at Wimbledon as he suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the final against world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.
Federer, a record eight-time Wimbledon champion, blew two consecutive match points on his serve as Djokovic won an epic five-set final.
When it comes to this season, Federer's lone appearance came at the Australian Open -- where he made the semifinal.
The Swiss underwent a knee surgery last week and he is expected to return to action during the grass season.
