Trevor Noah didn’t let his mom know he hung out with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

The successful African comedian Trevor Noah, who hosts The Daily Show, hadn’t told his mother Patricia that he was coming to Cape Town to play an exhibition match alongside Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Bill Gates, even though his mom lives in South Africa.

Patricia had imagined that his son is in New York doing his usual job as the host of ‘The Daily Show’ before she found out from the internet that he is in a whole another part of the world. More specifically, Noah was participating in the exhibition event organized alongside Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Bill Gates on the Cape Town Stadium.

Trevor, teamed up with Nadal, lost the doubles match against Team ‘Gateserer’. Nevertheless, he helped Roger Federer Foundation achieve a noble goal. The exhibition raised over 3,5 million dollars for the disadvantaged children in Africa. 

Even though Trevor’s gesture of not noticing her mother about his trip to his natal country seems to have not brought too much damage to their already pretty cold relationship.

“Please understand, as a businessman, he can’t always report to his mother about his movements. It’s not about the relationship,” Patricia said.

“He is living in New York and I am living here in South Africa, I don’t have to be attached to him, he is running his business and I am taking care of mine.” the mother concluded.

Patricia Noah is the owner of a property company and, even though there had been rumours about her feeling abandoned by her son, she is still proud of Trevor, writes Sunday World.
