Vasek Pospisil feels confident and looking forward to next challenges

Canadian Vasek Pospisil was drawing positives from his Montpellier campaign after falling just short of winning his maiden ATP title.

Pospisil, ranked at No. 132 in the world, was playing great tennis throughout the week in Montpellier and as a result he made his second ATP final.

Unfortunately for the Canadian, he came up short in the key points of the final and top-seeded Gael Monfils claimed a 7-5 6-3 win.

Pospisil, who reached his maiden ATP final in 2014 and achieved a career-high ranking of No. 25 in the world, failed to take his game to another level after a breakthrough campaign on the Tour in 2014.

But now a healthy Pospisil is hoping to continue performing well and to achieve the best results of his career.

"It was an incredible week,” Pospisil said after the final, per the ATP Tour. “I had great wins and I feel like I am definitely improving week-by-week. I will try to rest now, take a couple of days easy and get ready for the next event."

Pospisil won't have much time to rest as he is set to meet No. 1 seed Daniil Medvedev in the Rotterdam first round.
