How does Simona Halep isolate herself from coronavirus

Like most of the world in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, Wimbledon champion Simona Halep tries her best to protect herself and not get infected. One of her coaches, Artemon Apostu-Efremov, has revealed how they deal with the difficult situation.

“For the moment, we respect the isolation part. Things happened pretty fast. We won’t go on the court in the next few days. We will only do physical training, power training. It’s a routine with which she got used to.” said Artemon for Digi Sport.

The coach pointed out the effect that this period of world sickness has on most of the players taking part both on the WTA and the ATP tour.

“[Players] can’t train normally. They are practically isolated. Each one of them manages the situation how they can. We will find from one week to another how things evolve. It’s easier to be at home in these moments. You have all the comfort of your home. It’s easier to arrange things.” said Artemon.

Finding a place to train is a problem for Simona Halep’s team, but they are looking for a risk-free solution that wouldn’t endanger the health of anybody.

“With these strict travelling rules, you can’t afford to go somewhere and then remain stuck. We could go to a gym here, in Romania, but we need to find one which is empty.” said Apostu-Efremov.
