Italian Tennis Players Star in Campaign for Social Distancing

Italy has been one of the most badly affected countries due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the measures that has been propogated to curb the spread of the virus is Social Distancing.

Medical experts says, “If you look at the normal distance between two beds in a hospital ward it will be three feet. Similarly the distance between two seats in the first class on an airline is three feet. Ever wondered why? That’s the safe distance to maintain during respiratory illness. This is the distance to be maintained for anyone who has a cold, cough or sneeze, or some form of visible respiratory distress."

Tennis players in Italy have now come together in a campaign to propogate the same using the hashtag #Distantimauniti.

Players who participated in the campaign included Simone Bolleli and Fabio Fognini amongst others.
