Medvedev, Khachanov e Rublev, 3 Russians at the same time in top 15 for the 1st time

As Novak Djokovic remains top-ranked player in ATP ranking and Rafael Nadal has cemented his position as the world No. 2, while Dominic Thiem had made a grand entry in to the top three amid absence of Roger Federer due to injuries, Russians had meaded a munificent record to hold three positions among the top 15 simultaneously for the first time on record.

Aside from that, following an explosive week when the Mallorcan marvel Rafa Nadal had grasped his 85th title in the Mexican Open and Djokovic crowned the Dubai Tennis Championship by beating the Greek young flair Tsitsipas as Thiem stepped up in to the ladder to break off the trio’s (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic) dominance into the ATP ranking without attending any tournament, Medvedev, Rublev and Khachanov had tallied a rare record to rank three Russians among the world’s top 15 at the same time for the first time in history.

Meanwhile, Medvedev would be grabbing the fifth position, while the unyielding Russ could have stepped up further to rank as the world’s No. 4, but a quarterfinal defeat in Marseille for the 24-year-old 6’6’’ baseliner, much-known for his superior lateral movement and precise second serves, whom the World’s No. 1 Novak Djokovic branded as a “very complete” player, would mark up a moment when Medvedev had lost the opportunistic moment to seize the fourth position.

Apart from that, as Rublev did quite well for himself in the prestigious Dubai open where UK’s Daniel Evans had battled past him to reach the semi-final, the Russ would be ranked as world’s No. 14th, while the former No. 17th, Khachanov would experience a slight upward shift to rank as the world’s number 15th.
