Simona Halep looks forward to getting married and become a mother

There’s nothing much left on the table for Simona Halep after she conquered French Open and Wimbledon while topping the WTA rankings for no less than 64 weeks. In a recent interview, the 28 years old Romanian player confessed that only two things have remained unchecked on her bucket list.

“Career-wise everything I wished for came true, and personally, even if a million articles will emerge on this subject: my only dream which hasn’t come true yet is to get married. It will happen one day. This has left on my achievements list and, of course, to become a mother” Halep said in an exclusive interview for tiebreak.ro.

Simona’s boyfriend is Toni Iuruc and they have shown numerous signs that they are about to get married. Toni was next to Halep during her Dubai pre-season training sessions and spent the New Year partying together.

However, getting to the position where she stands today, being accomplished both on a professional and personal level, was no easy thing. Simona Halep had to invest a lot in herself and to make sacrifices whenever needed.

“My parents didn’t use to give me a present especially for a tennis match. When I was winning a match or an important tournament, I would go out with them in the city and buy something, strictly related to tennis as well. The first money won due to tennis came from the $10.000 tournaments taking place in Romania. I invested them in myself as well.” Halep said in an exclusive interview for tiebreak.ro.
