Thomas Berdych’s encouragement message amid coronavirus outbreak: “All will be fine!”

The coronavirus outbreak had affected many countries around the world and many of them are suffering due to the lack of resources and solutions, so any call to calmness and tranquility has positive effects. Thomas Berdych, the retired former world number 4, had transmitted such a message on Instagram to his over 370,000 followers.

“People, use common sense, respect the rules, be patient. The world is taking a break. All will be fine!!” said Thomas.

Being a ‘pensioner’, Berdych can almost always be found travelling in all sorts of countries around the world. Now, with all the coronavirus interdictions, he may have postponed some of his trips. However, he already managed to visit a couple of destinations in 2020.

At the start of the year, he went skiing in Austria and, not longer after, he could be found partying with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in Cape Town, South Africa, during the Match For Africa exhibition. He then continued his African adventure by visiting Namibia, where he took a plane ride above the Cape of Good Hope.

Unfortunately for him and all of us, the coronavirus has extended to the status of a pandemic and precaution measures must be taken by all of us to combat the outbreak.

“We can not say this loudly enough or clearly enough or often enough: All countries can still change the course of this pandemic,” WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press conference in Geneva. “Some countries are struggling with a lack of capacity. Some countries are struggling with a lack of resources. Some countries are struggling with a lack of resolve.”
