Yaroslava Shvedova Quarantined in Nur-Sultan Hospital

Tennis player Yaroslava Shvedova, who is also the playing captain of the Kazakhstan tennis team, is currently quarantined at the Nur-Sultan hospital as she was on the same flight with a woman infected with coronavirus.

In her Instagram account, Shvedova posted a photo from the hospital in which she was quarantined. "Hello from quarantine! Many in Kazakhstan have probably heard about the flight from Moscow to Nur Sultan on March 12, that there was a passenger on that flight, flying from Milan, who had a coronavirus. So, I was on that flight."

Shvedova says she was arriving from the United States. "After arrival, I was placed in stationary quarantine, like all the passengers of that flight."

A women from the Milan-Moscow-Nur-Sultan flight, arriving on March 12, became the third coronavirus infected in Kazakhstan. She was one of 90 people on board the plane, including Shvedova.

Shvedova was appointed captain of the Kazakhstan national tennis team in February this year, while she is still playing on the tour.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of cases in Kazakhstan on March 15 was eight people (in Almaty - 6, in Nur-Sultan - 2).

Всем привет из карантина! 😷 Многие в Казахстане наверное слышали про рейс из Москвы в Нур-Султан 12ого марта и что на том рейсе была пассажирка летевшая из Милана у которой обнаружился коронавирус. Так вот я была на том рейса, летела я домой к семье из Калифорнии после того как отменили Индиан Веллс. Не долго после прилёта меня поместили в стационарный карантин как и всех пассажиров того рейса. #короновирус
