Yaroslava Shvedova Tests Negative for COVID-19
Tennis - Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova was among the first tennis players to be put in quarantine, in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak as she was on the same flight as an infected person. However, the Kazakh has said that she has tested negative for the coronavirus but will continue to remain in quarantine for 2 weeks.
Shvedova posted on her Instagram account -
🚨 I have an updated! 🚨 My test for corona virus is Negative !!!!!👍 But I have to stay in quarantine for 2 weeks because I was flying very close to Infected person.🤦♀️😩 Because 2/3 of the passengers was send for home quarantine. But im staying positive and active as I can im my room. 💪 Hope everyone is healthy and safe! 🥰 #coronavirus #quarantine 🚨У
Shvedova had returned to the circuit earlier this year after having her first child and taking a break of nearly three years. She has also been named the playing captain of the Kazakhstan Fed Cup team.
