French Open will reportedly push back its start date. Here is when...
The French Open will reportedly push back its start date and kick off on September 27, per Le Parisien.
A few weeks ago, ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said the priority will be given to the biggest events if the Tour resumes.
The ATP and WTA are now working on the schedule as the season will likely get extended into December.
Meanwhile, the US Open is scheduled to take place from August 31 - September 13.
Roland Garros gonna be pushed back *one more week*, with the main draw starting september 27th. 'Le Parisien' saying that the request came from the ATP/WTA so it's part of the tour rescheduling that they are planning.https://t.co/kltUoC54GS

On March 12, the ATP and WTA initially suspended the tours for a couple of weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
As it was becoming obvious there would be no way to resume the season in April, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) decided to react.
On March 17, the FFT announced the French Open was moved for a September 20 start.
Shortly after the FFT announcement, the ATP and WTA extended the suspension of the tours through to June 7.
The FFT received lots of criticism for the move they made as reportedly they didn't consult the remaining major bodies of tennis while making the decision. But the situation now appears to be good as the major tennis representatives are working together on saving the season as much as possible.
The season has been suspended until at least July 13 but there isn't too much optimism that the season will resume once the current suspension expires.
