Andre Agassi says he is really proud of his son

Jaden Agassi is a third baseman and right-handed pitcher and is planning to begin his collegiate career at the University of Southern California in the fall after doing very well with the Las Vegas Recruits, a college prep baseball academy. In the interview, Agassi says, "I’m really proud of who he is. He was always a measure-twice, cut-once kind of kid. He would size up his engagements. He’s learned how to earn his own path, and he’ll go the extra mile to do that. I’m just proud watching him. He doesn’t have to be great for me to enjoy watching him.”

18 year old Jaden Agassi says his parents (his mom is tennis legend, Steffi Graf, who has won 22 Grand Slam singles titles in her career) work ethic has rubbed off on him, which has been a blessing. "One thing that’s really rubbed off on me is their work ethic. It’s really a blessing to get taught that at such a young age. I truly appreciate how much it takes to be the best at something.”

50 year old Andre Agassi is an eight-time Grand Slam champion and a 1996 Olympic gold medalist, as well as being a runner-up in seven other Grand Slam tournaments. Agassi is the second of five male singles players to achieve the Career Grand Slam in the Open Era after Rod Laver and before Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. After retiring from the sport, in 2001, Agassi opened the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas, a tuition-free charter school for at-risk children in the area.
