Nick Kyrgios Invites Nadal for Insta Live Session: Rafael Nadal let’s do it”
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has said that he is ready to go on a live chat on social media with Spanish legend Rafael Nadal after BBC Sport suggested the same in a tweet on possible Facetimes they would like to see.
The BBC Sport social media team posted an update saying 'We’d love to see these FaceTimes happen for real' - one of them was featuring Nadal and Kyrgios.
Kyrgios responded to the suggestion on his Instagram - saying “Rafael Nadal let’s do it”
The two players have met 8 times on the ATP Tour - with Nadal leading their head to head 5-3 but have no love lost between them as seen during their interviews.
Last year, the Spaniard criticized Kyrgios for ‘lacking respect for the public, for his rival and for himself’
Kyrgios got back, saying, “When he wins it’s fine, he will credit the opponent but as soon as I beat him he has no respect for me, my fans, or the game."
Nadal has also said that Kyrgios is one of the most talented players in the game and was a great joy to watch when he played to his full potential.
Nadal's former coach, Toni Nadal, has also spoke against Kyrgios in the media in the past.
Now it remains to be seen if Nadal agrees to the invite from Kyrgios.
If it does happen, it will surely be one of the more entertaining online chat sessions to watch for tennis fans.
