Novak Djokovic: I didn't invite Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to play Adria Tour

Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic reveals lately he has been talking to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal more than he usually does but he didn't invite them to play the Adria Tour. 

Last week, Djokovic returned to Serbia after two months of quarantining in Marbella and announced his plans to host the Adria Tour. 

The Adria Tour will take place across four Balkan countries -- Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro -- from June 13 - July 5. 

World No. 3 Dominic Thiem, seventh-ranked Alexander Zverev and 2017 Nitto ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev have confirmed they will take part in the Adria Tour. 

Djokovic, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, says there is no bad blood between him and fellow Big Three group members as he didn't invite them because he simply didn't believe they would accept the invitation.

"Me, Federer and Nadal have been communicating more than we usually do due to the coronavirus pandemic changes and the situation regarding the help to the lower-ranked players. Federer is still having issues with his knee so I didn't ask him. Rafa has just returned to the court. Last week we talked about the US Open but I didn't ask him (to play the Adria Tour). I don't believe he would come even if I invited him," Djokovic said, per Sport Klub.

Federer, a record 20-time Grand Slam champion, underwent an arthroscopic knee surgery in February shortly after he picked up a straight-set loss to Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinal.
