Federer Files: Roger Federer's new book ready for release

A new book on Roger Federer is ready to be released. Federer Files: Roger years - Thematic Dictionary of a legend, written by Italians Cristian Sonzogni and Gabriele Riva, will be available on July 6th. The book is already available in Kindle eBook format for booking on Amazon.

The preface of the dictionary will be edited by Claudio Mezzadri, while the publishing house that will handle the publication is GAME Comunicazione & Media. The authors of the new book on the Swiss Maestro reveal Roger to us since his very first match on the professional tour, back in 1996, in Noes, near Basel.

But not only, because the authors do not limit themselves to telling only the successes of the most loved tennis player by fans, but also the great disappointments or the most particular anecdotes, such as when Federer was called The Grand Slam Loser. From Wimbledon 2003 to the Australian Open 2018, passing through 17 memorable years of triumphs, joys, defeats and pains, in a career intrinsically linked to the beauty of his tennis and to titles and records, such as the 20 Slams.

Authors talked about Federer Files

Sonzogni, one of the two authors, talked about the themes of the book and what readers expect from new work on Roger Federer: "This is a book that tells the legend of tennis through the analysis of Roger Federer's achievements. A real thematic dictionary that takes the reader into the universe of those who, according to passionate numbers, have become the best tennis player in history."

Riva, the co-author of the dictionary, said us that: "by putting in line and rationalizing what the Swiss has managed to do incredible, you can perceive the extraordinary nature of the era that we have lived and that we are still living in part."

Federer's story is also tied to legendary matches against his biggest rivals, such as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, but also Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick and everyone else, for an unprecedented tennis era. The book will of course also talk, of course, about Mirka and the couple's four children, their lives and the decisive role of Roger's wife in his private and professional life. Also all the reports of all the coaches up to Ivan Ljubicic.

Federer Files: Roger's years - Thematic dictionary of a legend is a highly anticipated book, which fans are waiting with joy and desire to read. It is only the latest work on Roger Federer, a book that will deal with the history of the Swiss Maestro from his adolescence to today, passing through all the most important moments of his career, which are obviously linked to the highlights of tennis in the last 17 years.

Roger Federer has won a total of 103 titles, including 20 Slams (6 Australian Open, 1 Roland Garros, 8 Wimbledon and 5 US Open), 6 ATP Finals, 28 ATP Masters 1000, 24 ATP 500 and 25 ATP 250. He holds the record of titles won on grass-courts (19), and on hard.-courts (71). He also won the Olympic gold medal in men's doubles in Beijing 2008 and the Olympic silver medal in men's singles in London 2012.
