Novak Djokovic: Jannik Sinner definitely the next top player

17-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has suggested that finding the balance in private and professional life is the key to becoming a top player. 

Djokovic, seeded at No. 1 in the Vienna main draw, made the quarterfinal at the Austrian capital after making it past two-time ATP champion Borna Coric in two close sets 7-6 (11) 6-3.

After the match, Nikolaus Fink asked Djokovic to give his thoughts on the most important assets for a young player and the Serb replied: "There are various factors you need to become a top player. Everyone can have an unbelievable couple of weeks, but the ultimate goal is to find the balance in private and professional life."

Djokovic, ranked at No. 1 in the world, is considered as one of the greatest players to have ever played the game as his achievements and records speak for themselves. 

Djokovic recently lost to world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the French Open final as the Spaniard claimed a record 13th title at Roland Garros and equaled Roger Federer's all-time Grand Slam record of 20 Majors captured. 

But Djokovic still remains hopeful that he will be able to achieve the all-time Grand Slam record and historic No. 1 ranking. 

Djokovic tips Jannik Sinner to be the next big thing 

Sinner, who is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 43 in the world, has been making progress and improving ever since he turned professional. 

Sinner, who turned 19 just this past August, won the NextGen ATP Finals last year and he made his maiden Grand Slam quarterfinal at this past French Open. 

Also, Sinner is coming off a semifinal showing at Cologne 2. 

The Italian has been absolutely great so far in his short career and the expectation is that one day he will become a Grand Slam champion and world No. 1. 

"After Tsitsipas, Zverev and Rublev, he will definitely be the next top player. Sinner posesses a game that is very powerful and he has potential to become very good," Djokovic said of Sinner, per Nikolaus Fink.

Meanwhile, Djokovic struggled in his Vienna round-of-16 match against Coric but still found a way to clinch a straight-set win.

Coric had a great chance to win the first set but Djokovic saved four set points in the tie-break, before converting his third set point to take the opener. 

Then in the second set, Djokovic broke Coric twice to get the job done in two sets and reach the Vienna quarterfinal.
