'I have tremendous respect for Roger Federer, Nadal, Djokovic', says Indian legend

In this context, Indian tennis legend and former World number 1 in doubles Leander Paes has confided that he is a huge fan of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The Serbian had an excellent 2020, enhanced by his triumph at the Australian Open and by the certainty of ending the year at the top of the ATP ranking for the sixth time in his career. The situation was different for Federer, who was forced to miss most of the season due to a double operation on his right knee. The 39-year-old from Basel is expected to return to the field at the 2021 Australian Open. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have made tennis history, preventing many players from fully expressing their talent and winning what they deserved. This year Dominic Thiem became the first player born in the 90s to win a major, also taking advantage of the absences of Federer and Nadal and the sensational disqualification of Djokovic.

"I have tremendous respect for the top three players in tennis in the world (Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic)," Leander Paes told India Ahead News. "Federer has 20 grand slams wins and suddenly Nadal comes around and equals that," the Indian international went on. "The next conversation is if he going to better that at next year’s French Open," said Paes. "And it’s pretty hard to see anybody beating Rafa Nadal on clay at the moment. He’s so invincible, winning 13 French Open titles at Roland Garros." Rafael Nadal's triumph amid the COVID-19 pandemic has reignited the GOAT debate between him, Djokovic and Federer. The three share 57 Major titles between them, and the race to see who ends up with the highest tally is at its closest right now. He also has much room for improvement in London, where he was defeated in his three fights. The Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, with 5.925 points. from which 1,300 points won in the 2019 Finals must be subtracted, he is the one who has the least margin to score points in this season finale. He defends the quarterfinals in Paris and the victory in the Finals and is the one who has the least margin of error if you want to finish in the top five.
