WTA Adelaide: Cori Gauff's MATCH-POINT wins quarter-finals

The season post Australian Open 2021 will start with four tournaments: the ATP events in Cordoba, Montpellier and Singapore and the WTA tournament in Adelaide.

After beating Jasmine Paolini with the final score of 6-4 6-7 (4) 6-2, at the WTA in Adeaide, the young American star Cori Gauff, coming from the qualifiers, reached the quarter-finals of the Australian tournament.

This time Coco needed another battle in three sets to get through the round: she defeated the experienced Croatian tennis player Petra Martic with the final score of 5-7 6-3 6-4, getting a new prestigious result. The American needs another super performance to overcome the round, having problems this time especially in the first two sets, where the experience of her opponent put Cori in difficulty

In the quarterfinals of the WTA of Adelaide Cori Gauff will face her countrywoman Shelby Rogers, to try to go into the semifinals.
