ATP Madrid 2021: Paire wins and celebrates with the crowd!
After two months of defeat and controversy, Benoit Paire is finally back to victory. The French tennis player defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round of the ATP Masters 1000 Mutua Madrid Open 2021. We have to recall taht Basilashvili, last week, won the ATP 250 tournament in Munich playing spectacular tennis.
Paire played a decent match, especially considering his latest releases, and at the end of the challenge he wanted to greet the fans and celebrate in his own way. In the next round he will find Stefanos Tsitsipas on the other side of the net, who after his victory in Monte Carlo will try to win the second Masters 1000 event of his career.
Yesterday, in the Spanish event, came important wins for Andrey Rublev, Dominic Thiem and Kei Nishikori.
