Paula Creamer returns after eighteen months

The return of Paula Creamer. The "pink panther" of women's golf, away from the green since October 2019, is preparing to return to the field. The 34-year-old American, who does not play a tournament from the 2019 BMW Ladies Championship, will be at the starting line of the Pure Silk Championship, an event of the LPGA Tour scheduled from May 20 to 23 in Williamsburg, a city in Virginia (United States). But the news is that the Californian, who boasts 10 successes on the top American women's circuit in her career, will be among the protagonists of the US Women's Open (3-6 June in San Francisco). This is thanks to a special exemption - which expired in 2020 after a duration of 10 years - granted to it by the USGA. Who wanted to reward Creamer in this way, which the US Women's won in 2010 at the Oakmont Country Club in Plum (Pennsylvania).

Paula Creamer, statements

"I am very happy and I can't wait to play the US Women's", this is the happiness expressed on her social profiles by the American golfer who, after having solved the discomfort on her left wrist, is ready to return to the field.

Cameron Tringale is the richest golfer ever without ever having won a single race on the PGA Tour.

Tringale, finishing third last weekend at the Valspar Championship in Tampa Florida (won by Keegan Bradley) grossed $ 407,000. A great check that brought his bank account well over $ 13 million (13,860,842 to be exact) in eleven years of honorable career on the PGA Tour. And that adjective is certainly not a stretch. On three occasions Cameron has finished second times (the last time in 2015), this season he has seven top twenty in the last ten games played. In total in 2021 he passed the cut 13 times out of 17 starts.

Cameron surpassed Brian Davis in the list of winless millionaires by playing 73 fewer races than him on the circuit.

The American passion for statistics and rankings is well known. So on specialized sites it turns out to be absurd that Cameron has earned much more in his career than colleagues who have even won Majors. Tom Watson stopped at $ 11 million, John Daly and Bernhard Langer at over $ 10 million. Sure, the rise of Tiger Woods has driven the treasurers of the modern golf world crazy but the comparison between winners and placed is at least singular.
