Novak Djokovic and brother Marko win first match ever together!

Novak Djokovic and his brother Marko defeated Cem Ilkel and Mubarak Shannan Zayid in the first round of the Qatar Exxon Mobil Open in Doha in three sets, 6-3 3-6 10-6 after an hour and five minutes. Both duos joined the main draw through a wild card from the organizers. Djokovic and Marko scored their first win together on the ATP Tour, and they will now face the first seeds Damir Dzumhur and Dusan Lajovic who defeated Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic 6-4, 1-6, 10-7 after an hour and seven minutes. Marach and Pavic are the Qatar Open defending champions. Djokovic already beat Dzumhur in singles 6-1 6-2 on Tuesday. On Wednesday Novak will play singles as well against Marton Fucsovics.

Alexander Peya and Nikola Mektic defeated the Romanian duo made up of Horia Tecau-Marius Copil 6:4 7:6 (4) after less than an hour and a half. They will now face David Goffin and Pierre-Hugues Herbert, who defeated Stan Wawrinka and Karen Khachanov.

'I'm glad to end up 2018 with a win with my brother on the court', said Djokovic. 'That was a very special moment. We played so far I think maybe four or five tournaments together, doubles, and we've never won a match, so today was a day we will remember together.'
