Paul Annacone recalls private conversation with Roger Federer about goals

Speaking on Tennis Channel, former Roger Federer's coach Paul Annacone recalled a private conversation with the Swiss player eight years ago. Their goal, when they started working together, was to win a Grand Slam title again. 'I remember talking to Roger in 2010 about goals, and before we started working together he said, I want to try to get another Major and I want to get back to No. 1', Annacone said. 'So in 2012 when he won Wimbledon, both of these things happened. So for me, it was fun to watch him do that and pretty honoured just to be a small part of that process.'

The ATP analyst and Novak Djokovic's team member Craig O'Shannessy, said: 'I see Khachanov as a top-five guy. His attitude is ridiculously good, and he's excellent at the net. He knows how to use the angles and hardly misses a volley', said O'Shannessy

About Federer, a few months ago Annacone had said: 'He doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about things that are out of his control. I think that’s one of the reasons he’s been so successful because he is happy. In terms of his game, I think he is a much more astute student of the game. I think last year maybe was his best tennis year, this year not quite as good but wasn’t bad at the start of the year.'
