FC Juventus dominance compared to Federer, Nadal, Serena Williams

In a column for Il Corriere Dello Sport, the journalist Ivan Zazzaroni compared FC Juventus dominance to the best tennis players and other big sportsmen. This year so far the Italian football team won all the matches but the one at home against Genoa, that ended up 1-1. On Friday night Juventus defeated Inter 1-0 thanks to a Mario Mandzukic's goal and now has 8 points more than Napoli that follows as second on the rankings and 14 points more than Inter, that is third. 'Now for Serie A, Juventus of (coach Massimiliano) Allegri and (Cristiano) Ronaldo has become what Ali, Jack Dempsey and Tyson have become in boxing, Merckx in cycling, Federer, Nadal and Serena Williams in tennis, Phelps in swimming, Schumacher in Formula 1, All Blacks in rugby. 43 points in the first 15 matches are achievable only if you compete in a Bulgarian Championship or you are the Paris Saint Germain team in the Ligue 1.'

Rafael Nadal was never asked by journalists so far to comment on Ronaldo moving from Real Madrid to Juventus. In June the Spaniard said he was not happy with the coach Zinedine Zidane's departure, and his opinion is probably similar when it comes to Ronaldo as well.

John McEnroe will see Federer, Nadal and all the top tennis stars live at next month's Australian Open as he will commentate and analyze matches. Recently speaking after his retirement from the Senior Tour in London, McEnroe recalled his 1977 Wimbledon first semifinal: 'I came here at 18 and played Wimbledon for the first time. That was a dream come true.'
