Carla Suarez Navarro reveals Serena Williams' biggest weapon

In an interview to Marca, Carla Suarez Navarro revealed what's Serena Williams' strongest weapon. The Spaniard made a comparison between Aryna Sabalenka and Serena Williams who are both very powerful players. 'It's different. What I would stand out about Serena is her serve', Suarez Navarro said. 'But Sabalenka is aggressive on serve, forehand, backhand... But she has a lot of potential. If she works well, she will go very far. Osaka is able to think more. It's good for tennis that new players break through.'

The 30-year-old also commented on Serena's comeback from maternity. This year the 37-year-old reached Wimbledon and US Open finals. 'All the tennis players who have been mothers, including Serena, and who have come back, are already admirable. Serena is not the best of history in what we saw of her but she showed that she can be back to win matches, reaching semifinals, quarters... Every time that someone heads into the court to play against her knows that she will have to give the 100% to win.'

In a press conference at the US Open after her loss to Osaka, Williams had said: 'That's hard for me. You know, I think it's just instantly, just like, Oh, gosh, I don't want to go back to 2004. Forget 2009, you know. It started way back then. So it's always something. But that's also kind of, like, this game mentally that you have to play with. You know, sometimes it might seem like things always happen, but I don't know the word I'm looking for. You just kind of have to, like, try to realize that it's a coincidence. Maybe it's coincidence, so...'
