Milos Raonic putting in hard offseason work as he looks forward to 2019

Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic has been working hard this offseason as he is looking forward to opening his 2019 campaign in Australia.

The 27-year-old'a big goal for 2019 will be to remain healthy as that will be a key in him being a threat at the biggest events.

Raonic, who has struggled with various injuries so far in his career, concluded his 2018 campaign on an unfortunate way.

The Canadian beat France's Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the Paris Masters first round before he was forced to withdraw from his second round clash against Swiss Roger Federer due to a right elbow issue.

Raonic, ranked at No. 18 in the world, will open his 2019 season at the Brisbane International.

The former world No. 3 won't have an easy job in Brisbane as he will be joined at the tournament by 17-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal and three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray.

Defending champion Nick Kyrgios, 2017 champion Grigor Dimitrov, 2014 US Open runner-up Kei Nishikori, former world No. 5 Tsonga, as well as rising stars Kyle Edmund and Daniil Medvedev, are also expected to play in Brisbane.

"Another great week of training in the books. We are continuing to work hard and push new limits and find a new level. I am very excited to put it all into work and get back into the swing of things in Australia," Raonic wrote on Twitter.
