Novak Djokovic hungry for more success after outstanding 2018 campaign

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is hoping to put on a strong 2019 campaign after an outstanding 2018 season.

The 31-year-old managed to return to his best form during the second part of the 2018 season.

Most notably, the Serb won back-to-back Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open, as well as returned to the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2016.

Djokovic is due to play at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi before he officially kicks off his 2019 campaign in Doha next week.

The 14-time Grand Slam champion hasn't played in Abu Dhabi since 2015.

Djokovic won three consecutive Abu Dhabi titles from 2012 to 2014 before he ended runner-up at the tournament in 2015.

"I had a very long successful season. (There was) a lot to be proud of, a lot to reflect on as well for the past season but also a lot to kind of plan and hope for and visualize for the next season. So, I have been putting in the world obviously with the team and spending a lot of time with the family. Just trying to be as quite as possible (ready and prepared for the next season) because I know once you start the season you are kind of going back to the machine. But I'm not complaining. I love it, I choose to do this and I'm very grateful for it," Djokovic told reporters at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, as revealed on Tennis TourTalk Twitter account.
