Novak Djokovic's super year: Will he dominate the Tour in 2019?

Who thought they would see Novak Djokovic raise two Slam titles to the sky this year? Who thought that the Serb would return as the world no. 1 when, at the beginning of the year, he was ranked 22nd in the world.

His revival came about during the clay season, but it came definite during the grass season when he lost the Queen's final to Marin Cilic. The script was torn apart and reduced to ashes as Djokovic won his fourth Wimbledon title, a couple of weeks later, defeating Kevin Anderson in the final.

The Serb gained his mental focus back. Channeling the frustrations of the past, he was a transformed player. The victory at the Championships, which was followed by him winning in Cincinnati (to complete the Golden Masters) and the US Open, was not a coincidence. In 2019, Djokovic will be the man to beat, once again.

I am sure that at the Australian Open he will present himself as a favorite, along with Federer and Nadal. And probably next season he could put distance between himself and the 14 Majors of Pete Sampras, getting closer to Nadal and Federer.
