Serena Williams: 'People come to tennis to see Federer, Nadal, Bryans'
Serena Williams has a lot of appreciation for Mike and Bob Bryan. The most successful duo of the doubles men's tennis will be back to compete at next month's Sydney International prior to the Australian Open, which will mark their comeback on Tour together following Bob's injury in Madrid. 'It's been amazing', Serena said. 'They really bring the crowd. People come out to the tennis to see Roger Federer, Nadal, the Bryan brothers. They are just as big a card as anyone else. That's really never been done, and it's really awesome.'
What makes them special on the court? 'Their energy is just unbelievable. Their energy is so great. Whether they are up or they're down, you can't tell. It seems like they're just having the time of their lives on the court. For me personally, I love the dynamic that they're brothers. I can really relate to that because I play doubles with my sister. We don't have that energy, but we definitely have so much fun out there, and I feel just like on that aspect we have so much to relate to.'
