Australian Open - Sunday Schedule: Federer-Tsitsipas, Nadal-Berdych
The Australian Open Sunday schedule is set to be a stunning one. Petra Kvitova will open the day on the Rod Laver Arena against the 17-year-old Amanda Anisimova. Then Maria Sharapova will face Ashleigh Barty. The Russian is coming off her great win over the defending champion Caroline Wozniacki and now another tough matchup is on the way for her. As last match of the day session, the 2009 winner Rafael Nadal faces Tomas Berdych. Their last meeting in Melbourne is dated back to 2015 when the Czech dismissed the Spaniard in a straight-set match to reach the semifinals, where he would eventually lose to Andy Murray. At night Roger Federer plays against Stefanos Tsitsipas for the second time in his career overall after their meeting at the Hopman Cup in Perth, the first time on the professional tour. Then, Sloane Stephens plays against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
On the Margaret Court Arena, Angelique Kerber faces Danielle Collins, followed by Marin Cilic against Roberto Bautista Agut. The Croat survived a tough five-set match against Fernando Verdasco on Friday, while Bautista is having a great start to the season. On the Melbourne Arena, Grigor Dimitrov faces Frances Tiafoe.
