Australian Open - Thursday Schedule: Djokovic-Tsonga, Williams-Bouchard
The Thursday night session at the Australian Open will definitely be a stunning one. Serena Williams and Eugenie Bouchard will face each other at 7:00 PM. Both of them opened their campaign in the tournament in style with the American defeating Tatjana Maria 6-0 6-2 and the Canadian prevailing over Shuai Peng 6-2 6-1. The last match of the night will feature Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. It will be their third match in Melbourne after the 2008 final and 2010 quarter-final. Both meetings featured the Serb defeating the Frenchman. The day session will feature Kuzmova face Elina Svitolina, followed by Stan Wawrinka against Milos Raonic and Simona Halep against Sofia Kenin.
On the Margaret Court Arena the 39-year-old Ivo Karlovic will try to upset the world No. 10 Kei Nishikori, who has never gone past the quarter-finals in the tournament, followed by Naomi Osaka against Zidansek and Venus Williams facing Alize Cornet. The world No. 4 Alexander Zverev faces Jeremy Chardy in his attempt to reach the Australian Open third round for the first time in his career, then Garbine Muguruza takes on Johanna Konta. Dominic Thiem ended his first round match against Benoit Paire past 2:00 AM, we will see if he will have an earlier finish against Alexei Popyrin.
