Patrick Mouratoglou: 'Serena Williams is the greatest ever. We share a lot'

In an exclusive interview with Tennis World USA the Serena Williams's coach Patrick Mouratoglou commented on the best parts in working with the 23-time Grand Slam winner together. They joined the forces after the 2012 French Open first round loss by Serena to Virginie Razzano, and since then they won ten Grand Slams out of 14 finals played.

'There are a lot of positive things about coaching her', admitted Mouratoglou. 'The first one, is that, thanks to her, I have indirectly an impact on tennis history and for a tennis lover like me, it is something unbelievable. I also have a lot of pleasure because of our connection. We respect each other a lot, we share a lot, and I feel it is always an exchange. She brings a lot of ideas watching men’s tennis and constantly wants to improve and bring new things to her game. I think that we are all blessed to be working with her. She is the greatest tennis player of all times and we should all appreciate the chance we have to be part of this incredible journey', concluded the 48-year-old.

The former world No. 1 will have the chance to equal Margaret Court's 24 Major titles record at this month's Australian Open, where she last won in 2017 defeating Venus Williams in a straight-set final being eight weeks pregnant.
