Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic are aliens - Grosjean
In an interview to L'Equipe, the former world No. 4 Sebastien Grosjean commented on the Big 3 players dominance. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have won 52 Grand Slam titles combined and they are eager to add many more to their achievements list. Grosjean said: "When a guy dominates as Novak does, you need to admire and respect him. You should praise him, like Roger and Rafa. They’re the exception. They’re aliens. I find this exceptional."
Grosjean is the French team Davis Cup captain, and he said that talking to players this week is not his 'priority', as he is working as a Montpellier Open Tournament Director, but he will be in Marseille in his role as Davis Cup captain. Then he will be able to speak with Gilles Simon, Gael Monfils, Jeremy Chardy, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Benoit Paire.
Meanwhile, Pouille, who is the first seeded player in Montpellier, spoke about how having a mental coach helped him: "I already had an experience with male mentor but his method didn't suit me. With her I felt at ease immediately and realized she could bring me something" Dietician: "She didn't change much, it's me who changed. It's the small details that make a huge difference"
On his new coach Amelie Mauresmo, Pouille said: "She gave me the best advice: we get up every morning and do not look any further. We concentrate on the present." "First question I was asked about her: how would she come into locker room? And how do male coaches go to women's locker rooms? It's so stupid."
Pouille went through some doubtful moments, and he admitted that it wasn't an easy time for his girlfriend Clemence either: "It wasn't easy for her because I wasn't happy. But she stayed strong, never gave up when I wanted to stop, repeated to me: 'You will be back.'"
