Belinda Bencic is ready to take back her destiny
Belinda Bencic is recovering her destiny. The fate that, after the victories at the 2015 AEGON International and Rogers Cup seemed to have gotten out of hand. The Swiss has always been considered a predestined talent. But she experienced a negative period that lasted until the end of 2017 when she won the two WTA 125s tournaments at Hua Hin and Taipei.

She reached the semi-finals in Hobart, losing to Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the third round at the Australian Open, lost to Petra Kvitova and she won the important tournament in Dubai, defeating opponents like Simona Halep, Elina Svitolina and Kvitova in the final. Without forgetting that she was the great protagonist of Switzerland's qualification for the Fed Cup semi-finals. In the match against Italy, Bencic defeated Sara Errani and Camila Giorgi. In Indian Wells, she lost in the semi-final, stopped by Angelique Kerber.
2019 will be a fundamental season for her. At only 22, she can aspire to achieve other important new goals. The key to her return to the most important halls of tennis, is the rediscovered serenity, mental solidity, and constancy in performances.
Her technical skills make her deadly on hard courts and grass courts, and her improvements, especially in the last two months, have been encouraging. Now she will have to maintain this constancy; we must not forget that she is still very young and she can aspire to reach not only top-10 but also to win the most important tournaments.
