Biance Andreescu: I see Felix Auger-Aliassime in the gym all the time

Canadia's Bianca Andreescu insists that rising fellow compatriot Felix Auger-Aliassime is willing to put in the big hours in the gym and practice court.

Auger-Aliassime, 18, continues to impress this year as he has reached the BNP Paribas Open third round.

The Canadian fell just short of winning his maiden ATP title at the Rio Open last month.

The 18-year-old lost to Serb Laslo Djere in final of the ATP 500 clay-court event in Rio de Janeiro.

Auger-Aliassime made a good transition from clay to hard as he claimed two dominant wins in his first two matches played at the Indian Wells Masters.

The Canadian collected a 6-3 6-2 win over Briton Cameron Norrie in the first round, before he impressively saw off No. 9 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4 6-2.

Auger-Aliassime plays next against Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, who stunned Roberto Bautista Agut in the second round.

Auger-Aliassime, who is currently enjoying his career-high ranking of No. 58 in the world, will achieve a new career-high ranking when the list gets updated after Indian Wells.

"I see him in the gym all the time, on the court, working hard. It's really nice to be around that, because that also gives me a lot of motivation, too. He's a really big hitter. And if he keeps improving his game, he can be really, really good," Andreescu said of Auger-Aliassime, per Tennis Now Twitter.
