Borna Coric's coach reveals what makes Roger Federer,Nadal, Djokovic unique
Borna Coric's coach Riccardo Piatti believes that there is one thing that the Big Three players do better than everyone. Speaking to Il Tennis Italiano, Piatti said: "The better player is the one who puts himself in the position to do what he wants in the key moments: (Roger) Federer, (Rafael) Nadal, (Novak) Djokovic are three guys who manage to play their game in the important points almost all the time. These three, plus (Andy) Murray and (Stan) Wawrinka are the only guys who have a technical and tennis-wise order."
For tennis players like Djokovic and Federer having their families with each of them is important and so high-level coach like Piatti, who is married to Mrs. Gaia and has a son called Rocco: "I was lucky to bring them with me. Rocco was born and two months after he was with us in the Lyon tournament. Now he is 14 years old and I think he came to Australia 12 times. I have no distractions, I have tennis. For me, the most beautiful game is to find a right channel to make a concept switch to a player. And this is the funniest thing about my job: not teaching one thing, but finding a way to make you learn it. And everybody is different, you cannot tell the same thing to everyone. But if you learn, you become more comfortable and so stronger."
Piatti concluded: "Becoming a high level professional means you already overcame many difficulties, which many players do not manage to go through. The strongest guys are the ones who handle with stress. Not making it or having a lot of limits is not a fault."
