Federer, Nadal and Djokovic to play as long as they are motivated - Moya

In an interview, Rafael Nadal's coach Carlos Moya commented on the dominance set by the 32-year-old Mallorcan, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Moya said: "They are the greatest players ever, so as long as they are motivated, as long as they are healthy, they are going to be there forever. Not forever but for many years. The second is I think that at 30 or 31 years of age I was already old and not only them but many players can get to their best when they are over 30 years old. Also, the young generation seem not to be ready to step up but sooner or later that's gonna happen and now we have to try to enjoy these great players because they will not be there forever."

Moya also reflected on his role as Nadal's coach. Rafael won three Grand Slam titles under his guide: 2017 French Open and US Open, 2018 French Open. "Being a good coach with such a good player is easier, but I am enjoying my time at the Academy, with the young kids that are starting looking at how Rafa trains. I know it's difficult to have another Rafael Nadal but at least try to enjoy their time when they are on court, to work hard if they want to become tennis players. Try to keep fighting for that dream, try to keep chasing your dreams and nobody has to stop to tell you that you cannot do that. So if they have that dream, go for it, fight for it but at the same time try to enjoy that path to become a tennis player. There needs to be a mix of things together, then when I cracked the top 10 there was a group of guys who wanted to become number one in the world. Why did I get it and others did not? I don't know, you always have to be optimistic and realistic."
