Nadal always takes decisions on Academy and Foundation, says girlfriend
In an interview to Onda Cero, Rafael Nadal's girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello commented on how they work with their Foundation and their Academy. "Over the years we gained a lot of experience, we achieved a lot of results and we believe it's a time to use this image to make them know the projects we develope", said Perello, who will get married to Nadal later this fall. On the 17-time Grand Slam winner's impact, Perello added: "He always takes decisions whenever he is here and he is with the kids. We are a team, we don't work on a single basis, but the interest and the kindness we have is different. Over the years we gained a lot of experience, we achieved a lot of results and we believe it's a time to use this image to make them know the projects we develope."
"When we created it (the Foundation) we knew that the sport would have been a key aspects, but not in the sense of a high competition but more an educational one and giving good values. The sport has the power to change things in a very strong way, like it was proved, but the education too and combining these two aspects you create very important weapons you can offer to the younger guys. We work in three environment: social power, attention to kids who do not have a smartness ability and talent. To younger guys who have abilities for the game, we give them the chance to go to the United States where the culture allows you combining both aspects so that they do not have to leave any area", she concluded.
