Nick Kyrgios reflects on Acapulco win over Stan Wawrinka

Rising Australian star Nick Kyrgios is enjoying this week at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel as he has nothing but good to say of the city of Acapulco.
The Australian, now playing for the second time in his career at the Mexican Open, debuted at the tournament in 2017 when he stunned world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the quarter-final, before losing to American Querrey in his following match.
"I love coming back to Acapulco. I've had some great memories here. I think the conditions here – just the hotel, the kind of lifestyle this week – are amazing," Kyrgios told Tennis Channel, per Tennis Australia and AAP.
Kyrgios didn't hide his happiness after clinching another major win in Acapulco as he beat three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka 7-5 6-7 (3) 6-4 to set up a semi-final meeting against American John Isner.
Just a day earlier, the Australian saved three match points to beat 17-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal 3-6 7-6 (2) 7-6 (6).
"To come out there against Rafa yesterday and pull together that three-hour performance after getting some food poisoning was massive, and to back it up against Stan — I was cramping like crazy towards the end of the third set," Kyrgios said.
"I was just trying to scull any sort of fluids, and just try to hit the ball as had as I can, and it ended up working."
