Patrick Mouratoglou reveals Serena Williams' next tournament

The 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams had made an impressive return into the top-10 last year despite a long break, playing just seven tournaments and reaching title matches at Wimbledon and the US Open. The American has competed in three tournaments so far in 2019, losing in the quarter-final at the Australian Open following that heartbreaking loss to Karolina Pliskova after squandering multiple match points. The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City and it marks the opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit. After that, Serena should travel to Europe and enter only the fourth WTA tournament on clay after 2015 and compete in the "eternal city" for the first time since 2016 when she defeated Madison Keys in the final. Serena made her debut in Rome 21 years ago, winning titles in 2002, 2013 (lost 14 games in five matches), 2014 and already mentioned 2016.
