Roger Federer will win Indian Wells title - Rusedski

The former world No. 4 Greg Rusedski believes that Roger Federer starts as a favorite against Rafael Nadal in the Indian Wells semifinals. The Spaniard has been dealing with a knee injury, although both he and Federer looked in a supreme form. "The bottom half is much easier to predict. We've got Federer and Nadal, that will be the semi-finals. But who is going to win that? Nadal's form has been a lot better but [his] Uncle Toni has been saying that Roger is not going to win another Major. So I think Roger will have the steel, he will come through Rafa and win this title again", said Rusedski on Amazon Prime.

The Brit praised Nadal's win over Khachanov: "Amazing performance. We do hope he finds a way to have those injections and is ready to face Roger. But Roger will be very pleased he was pushed so hard.”

Rusedski finally commented on Nadal's knee issues in a specific way: "He’s tried so many things with those knees it’s basically blood-spinning. He’s tried stem cell, he’s gotten everything and his team will do their utmost to play Roger Federer tomorrow because that is the marquee match everybody across the globe wants to see. If anyone can make it work after sustaining a little bit of an issue there [it’s Nadal], hopefully get the inflammation down and play tomorrow. And that’s what I hope for Nadal because he’s been playing great and he looks like he’s got his mojo. But this is what happens with the new generation. Khachanov absolutely destroys the ball and forces you physically to play so hard. Rafa doesn’t get anything cheap out there so the body is taking some wear and tear. Fingers crossed [he’ll be fine]."
