'What a stadium, it's a very special one' Roger Federer praises Miami Open

Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka attended the opening ceremony of the Hard Rock Stadium at the Miami Open. The Swiss player looks forward to competing there. He already trained on the new stadium twice, on Wednesday and Monday this week both with Marton Fucsovics. "This is definitely ranked up there. It's a very special one, what a stadium. We only come to watch other sports in these stadiums, so to play in it is gonna be very exciting for all the players and that's why I am here at the opening, just to be part of this very important moment in our sports history", said Federer.

Djokovic added: "It's amazing to be at the new venue, obviously it's very impressive and most of the players are enjoying the new venue. We are excited to be part of this event for the next few weeks."

Stephen Ross, Miami Dolphins owner, concluded: "We are so excited this day has finally arrived. We did all what had to be done for this glorious tournament which is really designed to be a fan first and athlete first, so it's gonna be a great tournament and we are glad to have you here."

Serena Williams has joined the Bumble Fund investment group co-operating with app Bumble. The company invests on early-stage businesses. “In my life, and today more than ever, I’ve learned how impactful one woman’s voice can be when given a platform to speak and be heard", said Williams, in a press release. “I am passionate about building on this progress and opening doors for women of all backgrounds, especially women of colour, to share their message and trust in their potential to accomplish great things. By joining forces with the Bumble Fund, we will continue amplifying female entrepreneurs and creating a place for them to personally and professionally champion their growth."

Wolfe Herd feels proud about the partnership: “When we launched our #InHerCourt campaign with Serena Williams this past January, we were amazed by the overwhelming response we received from women globally who felt empowered by our message. In teaming up with Serena for the Bumble Fund, we want women everywhere to know that we are here, we are listening and we believe in you", Herd said.
