2021 ATP Finals - Potential Prize Money: How much could Roger Federer earn?

The change in location from London to Turin is set to benefit players on a huge note from the economical point of view. The year-end event' prize money will be increased from $8 to 14.5 million in 2021, overcoming the Shenzhen WTA Finals that are set to offer 14 million. It's a 40 per cent increase that, according to Il Corriere Della Sera, could give a big cheque to the winner, who would earn more than $4 million, which is currently more than any Grand Slams: the highest is $3.8m. at the last year's US Open. Last year 243,819 people attended the event in London over 15 sessions with a 16,255 average. Turin will not reach those numbers as the Pala Alpitour venue includes up to 14,700 fans. But the economic boost will be €500 million worth and $250 million will have to be spent on organizing it, including $78m. benefiting the ATP and prize money. The tickets price is going to be a high one. Just think that the cheapest ticket in London is £188m. worth.

Valentina Sganga, the M5S group, said: "This city knows how to build the future. All the rest, all that we heard in recent times, is just useless. We worked in silence for a ton of months, which led to the victory. We did it being patient and consistent. And so now results come. We are making a big investment in the innovation and on a new way to live the sport. The ATP Finals will bring Turin the sports, work, beauty, culture and opening on the world. We made team work."

Will we see Roger Federer in Turin in 2021 as a player? Nobody knows, and neither the Swiss does. He described it as an "exciting new chapter".
