Alexander Zverev: 'My girlfriend Olga has been unbelievable so far'
In an interview to Bild, Alexander Zverev commented on his relationship with his girlfriend Olga Sharipova and the difficulties of being involved in a love story. "It's not easy", admitted the world No. 3. "I do not know how to say it, but tennis players' partners need to put their lives away a bit in order to be with us somehow. We rarely spend more than two or three weeks in the same place. She was a normal 20-year-old girlfriend who lived a normal life. And now all of a sudden she travels around the world. She was an athlete. You never know what will happen, but so far Olga has been unbelievable. We have been knowing each other since we were 12 years old. We also have had a brief break at 15 years and we never saw each other for a long time and then we met again. I am very careful. It's the first time that I am really involved in a relationship."
On Hamburg tournament, Zverev added: "I speak a lot with the Tournament Director (Peter-Michael), even with ATP. We try to make Hamburg make steps forward, to make it being held in the mid of the clay-court season or to make it a hard-court tournament."
