Roger Federer, Nadal, Djokovic will play on senior tour - Bahrami

Will Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal play on the senior tour once they retire from the professional game? In an interview to Sports.fr, the former player Mansour Bahrami replied: "I think so. If Federer wants to play next year, he is welcome (laughter). In five or six years they will be there. The Federer-Nadal of 10-15 years ago, now they are here. We have a lot of former worlds No. 1s (McEnroe, Wilander, Ferrero, Moya), former Grand Slams and Davis Cup winners. Some of them instead cannot do it anymore. My dear friend Boris Becker would like to play, he cannot despite he is 12 years younger than me. Even Gustavo Kuerten would like to come. Tennis is great but hurts. There are also someone who can play but no one wants them! I do not ask for anything, but I get asked to come and play. There are other players who are much stronger than me, who would like to play, but they do not get invited."

On the controversial players, Bahrami added: "Sometimes they get angry, sometimes they manage to win... The game gets carried away from them. Fognini is a great player, but he will never be the number one in the world because he has not the game to be No. 1. If you start saying "Fuc* off", insulting everyone, it's good for the show but not for him..."

Fognini claimed his maiden Masters 1000 titles last week in Monte Carlo, defeating Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals and then Dusan Lajovic in the final.
