Wolfgang Thiem speaks on future between Dominic Thiem and Gunter Bresnik

Wolfgang Thiem doesn't what will happen with the collaboration between his son Dominic Thiem and his long-time coach Gunter Bresnik. 

Thiem, ranked at No. 5 in the world, recently added former world No. 9 Nicolas Massu to his coaching staff.  

The Austrian and the Chilean met during the Australia and Chile Davis Cup qualifying round tie at the beginning of February. 

Since they officially kicked off their collaboration, Massu accompanied Thiem in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro before he also joined him at the Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami. 

On the other side, long-time coach Bresnik wasn't with Thiem but he remained in regular contact with the Austrian and Massu. 

It didn't take long for Thiem to win his first big title under the guidance of Massu, having won his maiden Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells last month. 

The 25-year-old beat record 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer in the final to fulfill his long-time goal of winning a Masters 1000 title. 

On Monday, Bresnik told on ServusTV that he doesn't know whether he's still a Thiem coach or not. 

Thiem's dad has yet to meet Massu but he has heard nothing but good about the Chilean from his son. 

However, the two will soon meet as Wolfgang is planning to join the two at the Barcelona Open, which is set to be held from April 22-28.
