Zverev brothers to play doubles at Madrid Masters

Germany's Alexander Zverev and Mischa Zverev are set for more doubles action at the Masters 1000 level as they have signed up to play doubles at the Madrid Masters.

The Zverev brothers made their first Madrid doubles appearance last year when they suffered a first-round defeat against Spain's David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco.

The Zverevs have played together four times so far this season.

Their first doubles campaign in 2019 ended with a running run in Acapulco.

The Zverevs won their second team title after bearing American Austin Krajicek and Kiwi Artem Sitak in the Acapulco final.

The Zverev brothers then failed to make an impact at the Masters 1000 level, having lost their openers in Indian Wells and Miami before they made the round-of-16 in Monte Carlo.

It remains to be seen will how will the Zverev brothers perform in their fifth tournament together this season.

The Madrid Masters is scheduled to be held from May 05-12.
