Alexander Zverev will soon win a Grand Slam, says Kohlmann

Alexander Zverev said many times that he will not play the Davis Cup finals in November in Madrid. Germany's Davis Cup team captain Michael Kohlmann said he accepts it. "His sayings are clear. But I think the ITF, that is responsible, is working to switch the date. I am sure enough that we will not play in November in two or three years. The best week would be after the US Open in November. But obviously, there is the Laver Cup too. Hopefully, ITF and ATP sit down and they find a good date."

"I think sometimes he gets misunderstood. That's probably something to do with the fact that after many years there is once again someone who can get on Boris Becker's footsteps again - and maybe winning a Grand Slam title. Zverev is already an International superstar. When players attended our Davis Cup tie in Brisbane, they cheered Sascha like the Australians did for their players. He is a very good guy. He is not just nice with his teammates but with the whole team. I never heard people saying bad things about Zverev. We do not make him get special treatments, we just treat the player in the best possible way. I think he will win a Grand Slam soon. He always had the best team, Jez Green is an unbelievable fitness trainer and his physiotherapist Hugo Gravil has been the top man on the ATP for a long time. I think Zverev is in a better position than the other best players."
