Andre Agassi: Longevity of marriage with Steffi Graf is thanks to her
In an interview to La Vanguardia, the eight-time Grand Slam winner Andre Agassi commented on his love story with Steffi Graf. They got married in 2001 and they share two children. "An elite player is, for essence, a disciplined person who follows a training (regime), diet, trips, life schedule... This is how you are strict. It's thank to her that we have been together for 17 years. You need to find the right person," said Agassi. He loves living in Las Vegas: "It's a city that was born from nothing: from the pure desert. And that's not a game: it's people who believe in the hard work to come up."
"I help them discover what they want to be and the success they do to achieve it. I am happy they have not picked tennis."
On his current life, Agassi added: "In the end, I do the same as when I used to approach a final: taking risks, but now I take risks with my investment group or technology company. What changed is the rhythm. You have to wait for much more time to know if you earned and sometimes you have not the clear picture. But when I see my kids heading into one of my schools, I know again what I achieved."
Agassi is at the French Open working as Grigor Dimitrov's coach.
