Damir Dzumhur set for big grass season after early season injuries

Bosnian tennis star Damir Dzumhur will have a loaded grass schedule as he is hoping to perform well on the fastest tennis surface.

The 27-year-old is planning is each week of the upcoming grass season.

The Bosnian will open his grass season in 's-Hertogenbosch, then play in Queen's and Antalya before he concludes his grass season at Wimbledon

Dzumhur, ranked at No. 52 in the world, was dealing with several injuries earlier this season but now he is healthy.

Former world No. 23 Dzumhur won his first grass title in Antalya last year after beating Adrian Mannarino in the final.

"I won't have a pause after Roland Garros. I will play a little bit more tournaments because I have missed many of them this year. I will play the full grass season, from 's-Hertogenbosch to Queen's and Antalya, which I won last year -- to Wimbledon which is the last grass tournament," Dzumhur told Klix.

'That's my schedule for the next four weeks and then we will see what will the plan be -- to return to clay or go to hard. We will decide together.

"The plan is to play the grass season a little bit more than in previous years. I have been playing really well on grass and there is no reason not to try playing a little bit more (grass) tournaments this year."
