'Dominic Thiem lost to Nadal in 2018, but will win French Open one day'

In an interview to Spox, the Serena Williams' coach Patrick Mouratoglou commented on the Dominic Thiem's chances in the French Open. "Like others, I always believed that Dominic would win his maiden Grand Slam title in Paris. In 2018 he reached the final and lost to the king of clay Rafael Nadal. But I still believe he will win the French Open one day", he said.

Mouratoglou also suggested some changes for tennis rules: "Tennis is an amazing sport that I love and which I am passionate of. On Thiem, Boris Becker said: "In the best of five sets tournament he is physically very strong. He likes hard courts if that's not too fast for him. But clay is his best surface but he can do well on other surfaces as well. In 2017 he had an epic match against Juan Martin del Potro, in 2018 against Rafael Nadal, which I thought I think was his best Open match. He showed class on hard."
